Para o inglês Ash, diretor de A Vida desta Garota, o cinema é um exercício de liberdade: Não há regras, é algo que vem do coração, por isso não vale a pena fazer um curso de cinema. Ash está descobrindo São Paulo e confessa seu fascínio pela cidade: Sei que não é a cidade mais bonita do Brasil, mas estou encantado com ela por causa da diversidade que encontrei aqui.
 
To the Englishman Ash, director of "This Girl's Life", cinema is an exercise of freedom: "There are no rules, it's something that comes from the heart, so there's no use in pursuing a cinema course".
